The function of an ultrasonic generator is to convert electrical energy into high-frequency AC electrical signals that are matched to an ultrasonic transducer. These generators utilize a world-leading externally-excited oscillation circuit architecture, which increases output power by more than 10% compared to self-excited oscillation circuit designs.

The operating principle involves a signal generator producing a signal at a specific frequency—which may be a sine wave or a pulse signal—corresponding to the resonant frequency of the transducer. Common frequencies used in ultrasonic equipment include 20 kHz, 25 kHz, 28 kHz, 33 kHz, 40 kHz, and 60 kHz. While frequencies of 100 kHz and above are not yet in widespread use, their application is expected to expand alongside the continued development of precision cleaning technologies.

During operation, the ultrasonic generator performs real-time frequency tracking. This ensures that if the transducer’s frequency shifts—due to changes in water temperature, the quantity of workpieces, or the composition of the cleaning agent—the generator automatically adjusts to maintain an optimal match with the transducer.

Tuning Protection: During the tuning process, a safe current limit is set to prevent damage to (or burnout of) the power components.
